Monday we got the call that Brooklyn was ready to come home. Of course it seemed like forever until Ben got home and we could go and get her. When we got there they had to do a few things before she could be released: shots, sit in her car seat for an hour to make sure she was doing good all hooked up to her heart monitors and such. She passed the test and we were out of there! When we got home my parents brought Michaela and Grant back home to meet their new sister. Michaela had that plastered smile all night. Grant couldn't stop giggling his little nervous/excited giggle!
We've had 2 nights with her home so far and things seem to be going well. Today was her first checkup and she weighed in at 5 lb 4 oz. They did not take her clothes off to weigh her so I don't know what she really weighs? When we left the hospital on Monday night she weighed 4lb 12 oz. I'm definitely not worried about her weight gain, she likes to eat!!! IF you remember how chubby Grant got when he came home, you can probably expect her to plump up like that too.
Well continue to keep us in your prayers as we adjust to being a family of 5 now!

YEAH!!!! What an exciting day, I'm sure:-) They look so excited to have a baby sister. And the car seat photo is too cute - she's already passed her 1st test.
Praying for you.

I've been wanting to call but I get scared because I don't want to interrupt! But I'm so glad that everything is going well, and you have yet another absolutely gorgeous child to add to the bunch! What a relief that everything is fine. Call me when you get a few minutes!

thats awesome guys! Glad to hear everyone is healthy. Give Ben a "congrats on being a dad again handshake" for me.
Hello,
I am sure that Ben probably doesn't remember me from school, but I thought I would say hello anyway. I went to MBBC at the same time as him. I stumbled on your blog from the MBBC blogggers page. I had to comment because we have walked the NICU road too and the picture of your sweet girl in her carseat with wires coming out made me tear up. Ours came home on an apnea montior one year ago. God is good isn't HE! Hope all continues to go well.

Thanks for the comment. I asked Ben if he remembered who you were- he said that the last name sounds familiar but he can't picture your face. He's trying to figure out who you are. Where would he have known you from at Maranatha? I went there too, but finished one semester before Ben did. Would I have known you? Just curious, it's always nice to remember old faces!!
Cute baby!!
This is Gretchen Neisler, and I am looking at your blog with Melissa (my sissy-in-law).
Love the name Brooklyn, and I am so happy for you guys that she is home and doing well!
