Our Thanksgiving has been very unusual this year. It all started on Monday with Brooklyn gashing her head open. 2 staples later... then on Wednesday she collided with her little buddy at church and knocked her front tooth out. She not only knocked her tooth out but got a huge fat lip for a few days. 2 trips to the ER in one week is not a good week for us. I keep telling myself that it could be worse!
Ben did an AWESOME job on our Thanksgiving Dinner! He made some killer stuffing. He even had a "secret ingredient" that we had to try to find. We could not figure out. It ended up being Captain Crunch Berries. Very nice touch. We were able to spend the day relaxing with my parents at our house. Oh and I almost forgot - dessert! Ben made an apple pie - VERY YUMMY! I am proud to say that I did not overeat, although it was tempting!
We took the kids to go see Tangled. If you get a chance to see it - go!!! It isn't just a girly movie, Grant and Ben also enjoyed it! I heard about the bed bugs that were found in Lansing area theaters. I think my head was itching the entire time while there. We walked into a full theater and had to wait to be seated while Ben got his flashlight out and inspected each of our seats for these bed bugs. After being slightly embarrassed he allowed us to be seated. Didn't see one!
I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving weekend with family and friends like we did! We have so much to be thankful for.
