As for the rest of us our schedules have slowed down slightly now that soccer has taken a break. Michaela's team took the championship once again this year! Grant's team lost 3-1 in the semi finals. We are proud of both of them for making it so far. Brooklyn played her first year of soccer. We are proud to report of the near 20 goals that she scored during her season :) with just about all of them being legit!
We began an entirely new endeavor this school year. The kids were all excited to start in a homeschool co-op program. It is a program that Ben and I were able to help start along with 3 other families. Altogether there are 14 kids each day that we have the opportunity to impact! It has been somewhat of a roller coaster of emotions for me as a mom and a teacher. We are just beginning our 2nd 9 weeks and I am plugging right along. Managing home and school is often challenging. I really can't complain as I look at the big picture - I know that my kids are all being taught well and they are grasping so much new information. I believe that they are experiencing a much deeper learning. We are very pleased!
Church music is always on our hearts and minds these days. Ben has been brainstorming ideas as he has been working with our choir and drama for the Christmas Cantata coming up on Dec. 18th. He seems to be very excited each time he comes home from a drama practice!
I wouldn't want to bore you of the details of our lives, but that about sums it all up for now!
Michaela with some of her best buds!
We took a summer vacation out west. Best family vacation ever!!
Reunion with my Grandpa Bill was special (my dad's dad)

Welcome back to blogging and welcome aboard to homeschooling! I so understand all the ups and downs that come with it. And I have to say, I am SOO jealous that all of your kids are out of diapers and you can take such a great family vacation. We're still in the land of little sleep, lots of diapers, and the horrific experience of potty training.
Thank you! It feels to good to try again. I'm still not quite there with Facebook yet! I do try tho at least a little bit with FB.
I never thought we'd be done with diapers. Then one day it hit me, wait... I think I've slept thru the night 2 nights in a row... and then it was 5... and now life is good! Except for the 5 year old whining!!! And sibling rivalry. Ughhh, that's what it's all about now. Not so fun at times.
